Coat Rack
This project is a coat rack which has foldable "hooks" which makes the rack look like "art" during the portion of the year when coats are not needed, which in Austin Texas is considerable.

The construction is mostly 3/4" x 1 1/4" x 6" slabs of whatever wood you find attractive. In this case, Wenge, Paudauk and Tigerwood.
The pegs are shaped so that they pivot on dowels placed at the bottom, while dowels at the top stop the pegs from hitting the wall.

In the assembly photo, you can see the peg holes. They actually go through all the pieces (except the ends) to guarantee alignment.

And, voilĂ , a coat make a rare appearance in Central Texas!
